  • November 1, 2015

Last Hepzhibah (November) 1, 2015, the commencement of the 7 Phases of Purification towards the celebration in the 19th Anniversary of the Covenant of Love was held in Guiguinto, Bulacan, together with the 7th and last phase of purification, a newly built chapel in the area of Bulacan were dedicated and offered to God. A part of this program is God’s message through the preaching of one of the bishops of the Church. The sermon is entitled “ANAK (ALAGAD NIYA AY KALARAWAN)”. The sermon is relevant to the theme of the last phase of purification which is: “THE PERFECT SON”.

Through the General Bishop of the Church, the message of God in this activity has been opened and exemplified by his teachings; this activity truly blessed the brethren by giving us another chapel, a place of worship in Malis, Guguinto, Bulacan. God is truly reining in His Church – the Most Holy Church of God in Christ Jesus. This last phase of purification has a lot of unending blessings from God. Now, let us take a look back on the very important message of God in this last phase of purification.

In the first part of the sermon, it was clearly stated the purpose of calling us in His church and that is to become like Christ, be imitators of God as it is written in Phi 2:1-16a “Then you will be blameless and innocent. You will be God’s children without any faults among people who are crooked and corrupt. You will shine like stars among them in the world, as you hold firmly to the word of life”. God wants us to be blameless, pure, children of God without any faults in front of Him. And according to the sermon, we can’t achieve this state of spiritual being without the help of God. And to claim this spiritual state of being is that the brethren should be united in one thought, and one spirit. To achieve this, we have to be humble, humility is very important; humble ourselves in front of God, especially our will.

This sermon wants us to show humility and kindness to everyone especially to the brethren like treating them better than his or her own self, and should take in advance the sake of his or her brothers and sisters. To this act of humility and humbleness, we should be like Christ in His holiness. And the question was, how can we have the same thoughts and mind like Jesus Christ, we can’t do anything unless God will help us, it was also stated in Philippians 2:13, God works even in our will.

One of the most important messages of this sermon was about the valuable and the very first thing to do to reach perfection and on how to achieve it, according to the bible we have to change our ways of thinking, don’t think like the people in this world, so that we cannot do earthly things. The very essence of this sermon is to be submissive, to submit ourselves to the Lord. Submissive means you are showing a “willingness” to be “controlled” by other people, especially God. The willingness of doing what is right in the eyes of God and trusting God in everything we do.

As the sermon continues, the sermon is getting more beautiful and powerful, it was emphasized that we have to be “ Like Father, Like Son” image, God is Holy and divine, as stated in Eph 5:1-2, be imitators of God, living in Love, in Agape – the love of God. To live in love shows an act of sacrifices, willing to sacrifice his/ her own self for the sake of the others, the works of love will always do sacrifices. Let us analyzed this statement, “Our Love will not be classified as “AGAPE” if our main and purpose is for our own benefits. “Love your neighbor as you loved yourself.” This is AGAPE. We give love because it is the commandment of God, we give love because we are loved by God, and we give love because it is the true essence of sacrificing God’s life for us. So, spread the love of God without conditions, served God without any limitations, served God with all our hearts, minds and souls.

In the last part of the sermon, it was reiterated that we have to discipline ourselves through exercising living in holiness and to do this we have to obey God’s commandments and we will receive God’s promises, as promised by God, we will become the true children of God in His own image, and we will see His glory, we will be change totally until all of us become glorious like Him. Everyone wants to claim this glorious state of spiritual being, but not all will have this state of being unless called by God and we are the chosen people of God who will claim this glorious state of spiritual being. But the question is how are going to claim it? Is there any secret? There is a secret on how we are going to claim it and this is how we are going to claim it, as stated in Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me”. We should let God rule / reign in our lives. Let the Lord lead you, let the Lord guide and let the Lord direct you because He knows what is best for you.

The 7th phase of purifications ends with joy, gladness and spirit filled together with the acceptance of the blessings of God through the 7 bishops of the Most Holy Church.
