“Give and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38 NKJV

God is merciful and just. As children of God we have these traits engraved in our hearts. God expects us to “love mercy and do justice and walk humbly” with Him. He first loved us when we were still sinners. He was full of compassion when He saw us heading towards destruction and death. He has forgiven us of our sins. He died in the flesh so our souls may live. We are redeemed because of His mercy. We are justified and freed because of His love. Who are we to not be merciful and just to others? Let us be kind to all who are in need. If it is in the power of our hands to help, do it without delay. To many, forgiveness is hard to give. Not with us. Remember, brethren, what God did for us. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” He remains to be compassionate on us to cast away all our sins into the depths of the sea to forgive and forget our iniquities. Be like our Abba Father. Do the same to those who wronged us. Forgive and forget. Mercy and justice must come together. We are to treat everyone justly. Always be reasonable and fair in dealing with people. Do not judge others without compassion. Mercy triumphs over justice. Be merciful and be just. The same measure of kindness and fairness will be the measure you shall be judged our Lord. The more you give and forgive, the more you will be given and forgiven.
