“For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.” 2 Timothy 1:12 NKJV
Trials and sufferings are part of everyday Christian life. If someone wants to serve God, he should accept this truth. A disciple is not above his master, nor a servant above his lord. When Christ Jesus came into flesh, he suffered a lot for the sake of our soul’s salvation. Now that we are saved, it is our turn to return Him the favor. Let us be ready to sacrifice everything even if we have to suffer different trials and tribulations for the sake of our Savior’s name. Most of us are afraid to sacrifice anything because we do not completely understand its meaning. When we sacrifice, there is something we have to lose or give up to gain something that is much better. We should not be afraid to sacrifice or be ashamed of it. We may have to sacrifice a lot in this life that is more than we ever thought of. But when the time to receive our reward comes, with tears of joy we will tell ourselves, all of the pain that we went through is not enough to make us worthy for that kind of glory.
