Let Us Pray No. 106

  • April 16, 2017

“Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:4

Abba, dear Father Lord, you are the living God! You have laid down your life on your own will because you have the power to give it up and you also have the power to take it back again. As we celebrate today the day you have risen from the dead, it reminds us the new life and the living hope brought to us by your infinite mercy from your resurrection. The greater our iniquities are so the greatest your Agape love is. We are like dirty water spilled on the ground which cannot be gathered up again but you miraculously brought us back, you filtered us, cleaned by the power of your words and by the power of baptism we have received. You buried and forgotten our sins from the grave of pardon and now we ask you to empower us to completely leave that sinful life, our old life. Oh our Father, help us to emulate your noblest life in the course of our lives. May you find us not just living on the dead works that could not deliver us into perfection instead may we faithfully obey your command towards us which is to live in holiness, to become rich in good works, to be generous of heart for anyone in need and to be willing to share what have you given us until we may able to win the life which is true life. Hallelujah! Amen.
