“And be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith.” Philippians 3:9
Abba, our Father and God, in your righteousness you have justified us and forgiven our iniquities. You considered our own righteousness as our self-ignorance because of the absence of the true knowledge in our hearts. Lord, we don’t exactly understand before why we act the way we did until you made us understand that it is the sin that lives in us that made us do what we hate to do. Thank you for making our former self die and buried by the power of the baptism of death. The new selves we have and live for now was brought and created by the living words of the gospel of your kingdom. Oh Lord, how we love to walk under your governance for it is certainly an excellent way to become perfectly holy and righteous in your sight. Help us to completely deny ourselves so that your will be done in our lives. Never leave us even for a single moment for it is so difficult to wander like lost sheep. Now that we are yours, help us walk with you by faith, to go forward with hope and to live with love until we enter into your gladness as your faithful and obedient servants. Amen.
