Let Us Pray No. 272

  • September 29, 2017

I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people, In the courts of the LORD’S house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD. Psalms 116:18-19

Abba, you are a faithful God, the Keeper of the Covenant of Love. This covenant you made states that we shall be your holy nation on earth and you shall be our God. You confirmed this Covenant by shedding your blood on the cross, giving your all for our salvation. Our sins were forgiven and by your blood we were purified and made holy. May we live our lives in remembrance of the great sacrifice you made. May we not forget the great mercy and grace you have extended to us in order to be saved. Because of your faithfulness we are receiving your abundant blessings brought about by the Covenant of love. There is no doubt about your sincerity and integrity. May we do our part of the Covenant. May we not forget our obligations, our duties, our commitments and our vows with respect to the covenant of Love. We know that you have no pleasure to those who ar not true to their vows. We sin against you because such is a betrayal and breach of the terms of the covenant and therefore worthy of punishment and judgment. But Lord, we seek your forgiveness and we are assured to receive them. May we live a righteous life and faithfulness in loving you. We promised to serve and worship you as our only true and living God. Our loyalty is to you, oh, Lord. May we continue to declare your blessed glory to all unbelievers and let them see you in us, by demonstrating your holiness and perfect and everlasting love. May we show your grace and mercy by leading them to the faith you freely gave us. As we live according to the covenant of grace and mercy, may we be able to wait for the fulfilment of your vows that you will return to give us the crown of life and bestow us our inheritance in the coming new heaven and new earth. Today is a great day, Lord, for we shall receive your blessings and assured of your promise which is yet to come. For this day we thank you and praise you. Amen
